Tomorrowland is days aways from attendees and YouTubers

With Tomorrowland just days away and the event being sold out, non attendees will be ‘attending’ via live streaming over YouTube. From July 27^th- 29^th, the 3 day festival in Belgium will be blasting tunes like there’s no tomorrow (pun?).

So if you can’t attend, make sure you have internet access between 07pm – 02pm CEST because that’s when you will catch the live streaming.

We should have some track-list up for everyone on our forums so check there if you hear something you like! Also the YouTube chat might get extremely flooded with a limit before you can comment. If the limit bothers you, open a new tab to our forums and chat with us. If anyone has any good footage of your Tomorrowland experience, we’ll showcase it on a playlist.

It’s been a year since Electronic Dance Generator was started, yet we’ve only just begun! Many great EDM artist have had their tunes discovered by new fans around the world. New friendships have formed and the world of Electronic Dance Music keeps on spinning. Never let the music and great experiences fade away. We fully support the EDM community and movements throughout the world and will continue to do so.

Thank you to those who have been with us from the start and to newcomers as well. Currently we have a lot planned that is being worked on for future updates. You can keep up to date with us also on our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages.

EDC Las Vegas 2012 Video Recap

Interesting things certainly have taken place for this years Electric Daisy Carnival festival. Not only did the event take place away from it’s usual location in LA, but fans were greeted by Q-dance’s first appearance in the U.S.! Q-Dance is well known for their Hardstyle and Hardcore sessions from the Netherlands. With this new milestone in EDM, we can only wonder how this could uplift the Hardstyle music scene in the United States. We will have to wait and see what happens with that.

On day 2 of EDC, unforeseen wind conditions put a halt to the tunes blasting at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Getting the reactions from the crowd, you can tell how hardcore the EDM scene is here. As soon as the announcement comes in with the emphasis on the words “FOR YOUR SAFETY”, a lot of fans would have probably voted to keep the show rolling if they could! Many people had different experiences when this all happened. Here is one of the videos of the announcement interrupting a set from Markus Schulz:

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2012

A few weeks ago EDC came to NewYork for the first time which turned out to be a great success. Now in just a few more days, the highly anticipated Electric Daisy Carnival arrives for Las Vegas. June 8th through the 10th, one of the most well known EDM festivals will be accessed by many who bought their tickets before being sold out. With awesome tunes blasting and their signature feature of amusement park rides along with the mix, its the place to be.

Some of the many big names coming to EDC are Dash Berlin, Chuckie, Hardwell, ATB, Nicky Romero, Carl Cox, and many more. Don’t have the opportunity to go to this event? After an awesome week in the EDM scene with Miami Music Week, we have new info for our next Remix of the Month contest. We’ll be remixing Mr.C’s “Atmosphere” track. This is an open-genre contest for a prize. The winner and a lucky voter will both win $10 Paypal.

ROTM3 will start at 12AM EST on April 15th and end on May 6th at 12AM EST as the deadline for entries. Voting will start at 12AM EST on May 7th and end May 17th at 12AM EST. We will announce the winner afterwards.

You will only have one vote so make sure you check out all the entries for your favorite vote. After you vote, you will also have a chance to win $10 Paypal in a random drawing from EDG. Options for multiple entries for the drawing are available as well. Winner for the drawing will be notified by email after voting ends. They will have 48 hours to reply to our email or another will be chosen.

UMF 2012 Thoughts & Tracklists

Ultra Music Festival 2012 has been another great event for the EDM scene this year. With live HD streaming through YouTube, people from around the world were able to tune in to the show. The light show set up was pretty good and the graphics were immersive. Oh yea, and there was cake too if you went to Steve Aoki’s crazy yet expected set. What a rush that was for crowd surfing in an inflatable boat raft.

The energy felt through each Dj’s set has lead more people now than ever wanting to experience more at Ultra. With that said, there are a growing number of new fans to the EDM scene. One genre in particular that has taken a rise (you know what it is), yes dubstep of course, has been experienced by most participants in UMF this year. This is due to the fact that there was a trend in non-dubstep artists dropping a dubstep tune or two in their sets.

For some, maybe even most, this is not what we are used to. Many people may not expect a dubstep track in House music set. Whether they can make the track fit or not, it’s something that you either love or dislike. When you are at an event like UMF then there’s also a good chance you don’t care for the most part. After all, as long as you’re having fun then that’s all that matters. Let us know what you think.
